Dr. Fred has been saving pets lives for over 40 years. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1967. He was licensed to practice by the State of Pennsylvania in 1972. Before he established Castor Animal Hospital in 1978, he worked for private practitioners, and was an inspector for the USDA. Dr. Fred is the proud father of three sons.
Dr. Fred and his wife Miriam are dedicated to serving the Northeast Philadephia pet-caring community. Miriam is a trained veterinary assistant. Her original studies were in engineering and radio technology. She was later trained in veterinary care and helped Dr. Fred establish a clinic on Castor Avenue.
Castor Animal has been an important staple in the Northeast community. Dr. Fred offers apprenticeships and works with the Philadelphia Youth Network to train youth in careers that will benefit the community and themselves.
